Katie Yun & Sachi Nagase

are leading Cook a Japanese-Korean Style Meal with both/& on Saturday, Sept 19th at 10:30am EST  &  Sunday, Sept 20th at 2pm EST

Katie Yun and Sachi Nagase started cooking together as a way to build community and recreate the Korean and Japanese dishes from their childhoods. In late 2017, they founded both/&, an art collective turned cooking practice. Since then, they have worked for Michelin starred restaurants (Octavia and Eleven Madison Park), hosted dining events in galleries in LA and Chicago, were chefs in residence at Marble House Project, cooked for numerous pop ups, private events, as well as monthly communal, pay-what-you-wish dinners. They are currently based in Brooklyn, NY.

Keep up with Katie & Sachi online and through instagram

“Since the beginning of both/&, we’ve strived to build accessible dining experiences through pay-what-you-wish dinners. Recently, we’ve taken a break from both/& in order to support BIPOC folx through mutual aid and protesting efforts.

As we circle back to both/&, we continue to think about the possibilities of strengthening community through dining experiences, and we’re excited about the opportunity that The Level Up Project brings us to share our resources and skills.”
